Lauren Cooley has built her career at the intersection of faith, culture, and leadership. A political strategist, nonprofit executive, and media commentator, she has spent more than a decade turning ideas into action — building organizations, shaping public conversations, and championing the principles of faith, freedom, and American exceptionalism.
Lauren is the founder of Sunshine Group Consulting, a firm she has led for a decade, advising organizations , campaigns, and leaders on strategy, communications, and public affairs. Her work draws on firsthand experience leading institutions, navigating political challenges, and helping mission-driven organizations achieve their goals.
She currently serves as Director of Content & Media Strategy for Coral Ridge Ministries and as a Senior Fellow at the Institute for Faith & Culture, where she previously served as founding Executive Director and Vice President of Public Affairs. She is also a board member and former board chair of the D. James Kennedy Center for Christian Statesmanship.
Lauren's roots are in grassroots politics and the conservative movement. One of the original employees of Turning Point USA, she went on to co-found Campus Red PAC and serve as Executive Director of the Republican Party of Broward County. Her nationwide Make Campus Great Again! speaking tour, which challenged political bias and defended free speech on college campuses, drew coverage from CNN, The New York Times, Fox News, and USA Today.
Lauren has appeared on Fox News, Fox Nation, Newsmax, One America News, and BlazeTV. Her writing has appeared in USA Today, the Miami Herald, the Tampa Bay Times, Townhall, the Christian Post, and the Washington Examiner, where she previously served as an editor.
Lauren is a graduate of Furman University, and has pursued graduate studies at the University of Miami.
